On October 17, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Special Equipment Safety Inspection Base in Shandong Province, located in Jinan Hi-Tech Zone. This new facility marks a significant step forward in enhancing the safety and technological capabilities of special equipment across the province.
The base is being developed by the Shandong Provincial Institute of Special Equipment Inspection, following the guidelines set by the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and the provincial requirements for safe production. It will serve as a comprehensive center for inspection, testing, and research, integrating advanced technologies and emergency response systems.
Key components of the base include the National Tower Crane Quality Inspection Center, the Provincial Special Equipment Nondestructive Testing Laboratory, the Emergency Rescue Technical Laboratory, the Risk Inspection Technology Laboratory, and the Energy Saving Technology Laboratory. These facilities will support both national and provincial efforts in special equipment safety.
With a focus on high standards, innovation, and specialization, the base aims to become a leading hub for special equipment safety in China. It will foster collaboration between research institutions, inspection agencies, and emergency services, promoting the development of advanced technologies and training programs.
This project is expected to significantly improve the province’s ability to conduct technical inspections and ensure the safe operation of critical equipment. It will also help establish Shandong as a model region for special equipment safety, driving progress in both industry and public safety.
