On October 17, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Special Equipment Safety Inspection Base in Shandong Province, located in Jinan Hi-tech Zone. This significant event marks the beginning of a major project aimed at enhancing the safety and technological capabilities of special equipment across the province.
The base is being developed by the Shandong Provincial Institute of Special Equipment Inspection, in line with guidelines from the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and the provincial requirements for safe production. It will serve as a comprehensive facility integrating inspection, research, and emergency response for various types of special equipment.
Key components of the base include the National Tower Crane Quality Inspection Center, the Provincial Special Equipment Nondestructive Testing Laboratory, the Emergency Rescue Technical Laboratory, the Risk Inspection Technology Laboratory, and the Energy Saving Technology Laboratory. These facilities will support both national and provincial initiatives in special equipment safety.
By adhering to high standards and focusing on specialization, the base aims to become a leading center for innovation and technical excellence in the field. It will foster the development of inspection centers, technology hubs, and emergency response capabilities within the province. Ultimately, the project is expected to significantly improve the province's capacity to conduct advanced safety inspections and ensure the safe operation of critical equipment across industries.
