According to recent reports from the Fujian Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, starting in March, the agency will launch a comprehensive campaign to improve the quality of six key categories of exported goods. These include plastic kitchenware, furniture, toys, clothing, paints, and simulation accessories. This initiative is part of a broader national effort coordinated by relevant state authorities to ensure the safety and quality of both imported and exported products.
In line with the central government's unified deployment, the inspection and quarantine bureau has begun a special rectification program targeting critical import and export goods across the country. In addition to addressing the first batch of five priority products, the Fujian bureau has also expanded its focus to include export plastic kitchenware. This decision was made based on the province’s industrial characteristics and the specific quality concerns identified in local production sectors.
The move reflects a growing emphasis on product safety and consumer protection, especially as China continues to play a major role in global trade. By strengthening oversight and implementing stricter quality control measures, the bureau aims to enhance the reputation of Chinese-made goods in international markets and reduce the risk of substandard products reaching consumers.
This initiative is expected to bring more transparency and accountability to the manufacturing and export processes, ensuring that products meet both domestic and international standards. It also signals a proactive approach by local authorities to align with national policies and maintain high-quality benchmarks in the export sector.
