From what I saw on the Foster Coach Sales Facebook page just now:
The first image shows a classic Horton Type 1 ambulance. It’s got that distinctive boxy shape that you don’t see as much these days. The second photo is another angle of the same model, probably from their catalog or showroom. They really did a good job maintaining the vintage charm while updating it with modern features.
What caught my attention most was the next two photos. These are of a brand new ambulance purchased by the Genoa-Kingston Fire Protection District. You can tell it's brand spanking new – the paint still looks wet! It’s clearly a top-of-the-line model, and I love how they’ve kept the traditional styling but added all the latest tech.
I’m guessing this rig will be a game-changer for them. Ambulances like this aren’t just about transporting patients anymore; they’re rolling emergency rooms. I wonder what kind of equipment they’ve loaded into this one. It must have everything from cardiac monitors to trauma kits.
Anyway, Foster Coach Sales always does great work. Their vehicles look solid, and it’s clear they take pride in what they do. If I ever need an ambulance – knock on wood that I never do – I’d want one from them. It’s reassuring to know there are companies out there that still care about quality craftsmanship.
I hope the Genoa-Kingston team loves their new ride. It’s definitely an upgrade from whatever they had before. Makes me curious about how often fire departments update their fleet. Must get expensive keeping up with the latest models every few years.
