Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share some photos I took of the new medic unit for the Bensenville Fire District. It's pretty impressive! The vehicle is a 2011 Ford F-450 with 4-wheel drive, and it’s built on a Wheel Coach chassis. What’s cool about this one is that it can run as either Medic 17 or 18—it has a changeable number sign so they can switch between the two if needed.
The first picture shows the front of the ambulance, and you can really see how sleek and modern it looks. The second photo gives you a good view from the back. And just for fun, I also snapped an image of the Bensenville Fire District seal—it’s a nice touch and adds to the overall professionalism of the department.
These photos were taken recently, and I have to say, it’s exciting to see the upgrades they’re making. The new medic unit will definitely help them respond more effectively to emergencies in the area. Big thanks to the crew for letting me get up close and take these shots!
Take care,
Don Tessler

P.S. If anyone is interested, let me know—I might do a short video tour of the inside next week when I’m back in the area. Let me know what you think!
