On December 1st, 2021, around 3:00 PM, BCFD2 was called to a house fire in the 2000 block of Cairnwell Drive. Multiple fire departments and emergency services, including North Boone Fire, Belvidere Fire, Capron Fire, Capron Rescue, Lifeline, Boone County EMA, Cherry Valley, North Park, and Genoa Kingston, quickly arrived on scene and helped bring the fire under control. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. The team from District 2 would like to extend their sincere thanks to all the responders who came together to assist.
