Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share this story with you because it really touched my heart. Ryan McCarthy, a 25-year-old firefighter/paramedic from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, is currently battling B-cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He has a beautiful two-year-old son named Liam, and this diagnosis has been devastating for his entire family.
Ryan has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments at the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago. He's scheduled to complete six rounds of treatment over the next few months, which is no easy feat. The financial burden that comes along with fighting cancer can be overwhelming, so I'm reaching out to see if we can all pitch in to help ease some of the pressure on Ryan and his loved ones.
The funds raised will go towards covering essential expenses such as prescriptions, transportation to and from the hospital, housing costs (to assist Ryan's mother who also lives with Multiple Sclerosis and relies on disability benefits), and ensuring they have access to healthy food during this challenging time. Every little bit helps, whether it’s a small contribution or simply leaving an encouraging message for Ryan to keep him motivated throughout his journey.
