Since the introduction of Autodesk Build back in 2021, we've been swiftly bringing to life our vision of a connected construction journey through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). This platform unites solutions covering the entire digital lifecycle of building projects. In just the past year, we’ve rolled out nearly 300 product updates to ACC, introducing new features and linking essential workflows to help our customers meet the ever-growing demands for constructing buildings and infrastructure worldwide.
Today, at CONEXPO, we’re thrilled to unveil fresh updates that further support a seamless, interconnected experience for our customers, spanning from design to preconstruction, through construction and into operations.
One of the most significant announcements we're making today is the introduction of AutoSpecs within ACC. This new tool provides users with a unified and integrated submittal experience right within ACC. With AutoSpecs, teams can generate submittal logs in mere minutes. Traditionally a manual and error-prone process that could take project teams weeks, AutoSpecs automates this task. This allows teams to focus more on comprehending project specifications and tackling high-value tasks while still ensuring an accurate and comprehensive submittal log.
Moreover, construction teams can utilize AI to identify missing submittal items before they become costly mistakes. Powered by Construction IQ, AutoSpecs' suggested submittals analyze the current project specifications against historical project data to recommend potentially overlooked submittals from the project specifications.
Additionally, users can directly integrate the submittal log into Autodesk Build, enabling tracking of submittal statuses, creating custom review processes, annotating and marking up submittals, and even saving completed submittals. Brian Athey, Director of Construction Innovation at Miron Construction, shared, “With AutoSpecs and Autodesk Build together in ACC, we boost our team's efficiency in the submittal process and minimize the risk of missed submittals. We can’t get this into our team’s hands quickly enough.â€
Users purchasing the ACC for Construction Operations bundle will gain access to AutoSpecs in ACC following its general availability release on March 21, 2023.

We’re also enhancing our mobile and web experience to align with the next phase of our vision. With ACC, we're dedicated to connecting teams, data, and workflows across all stages of the project lifecycle on a single platform. Every day, we strengthen these connections, streamlining data flow among project stakeholders. We understand that successful project execution requires both office-based and field-based teams to stay connected.
Mobile plays a crucial role in achieving this connectivity. Keeping this in mind, we’ve rebranded our mobile app as the Autodesk Construction Cloud. The ACC mobile app provides users with a centralized location to access all their project information from Autodesk Build, Autodesk Docs, Autodesk BIM Collaborate, or PlanGrid—whether online or offline.
Teams can use the app to navigate drawings and BIM models, collaborate on issues and checklists, create annotations, link project photos, and more.
These updates not only add more functionality but also offer customers a cohesive experience while allowing them to customize or enhance their ACC experience. They provide our customers with an opportunity to reassess their clients' needs as they continue to manage, innovate, and expand their businesses.
We remain committed to building and maintaining trust with our customers by listening to their biggest challenges and adding value where it’s most needed. We’re excited about the direction the industry is heading and eager to help our customers achieve a safer, more predictable jobsite experience with ACC.
