Among them, the production and sales of passenger cars were 1,104,900 and 1,042,900, a decrease of 10.00% and 8.71% from the previous quarter, and the output increased by 0.83% compared with the same period of last year. The sales volume decreased by 0.11%. Commercial vehicles sold 308,000 vehicles and 339,900 vehicles, a decrease of 18.68% and 17.03% month-on-month, and a decrease of 20.21% and 14.18% year-on-year.
Zhu Yiping, secretary-general of the China Aviation Industry Association, pointed out that the production and sales of domestic automobiles in May have further declined from the previous month, showing negative growth for the second consecutive month.
