New ambulance for Palos Heights FPD

Congratulations to Chief Kevin Doyle and the entire team at the Palos Heights Fire District in Palos Heights, Illinois, on the arrival of their brand-new 2018 Wheeled Coach Type III ambulance. This custom-built unit is mounted on a Ford E450 6.8L gas cutaway chassis and meets all requirements of Change Notice 10. The ambulance is packed with high-tech, custom features designed for efficiency and comfort. It includes a COOLBAR HVAC system for optimal climate control, Whelen M9 LED lighting for superior visibility, and full LED interior lighting throughout. The unit also features 3-inch dropped skirts on both sides, providing a smoother ride and better aesthetics. With 72 inches of interior headroom, it offers ample space for both patients and equipment.

The ambulance is equipped with electric locks, a Vanner inverter, a Federal PA4000 siren, and a VMUX electrical system featuring Vista IV touchscreens for easy control. It also has recessed Zico QR-D-2 strapless oxygen bottle brackets and a custom right front cabinet with a full-height roll-up door. The Palos Heights Fire District has been a long-time partner of Fire Service, Inc., and this new ambulance is a testament to their commitment to excellence and community service.
