Recently, the steel-plastic composite spiral wound pipe developed by Liaoning Far East New Pipe Industry Development Co., Ltd. passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal organized by the Science and Technology Department of Liaoning Province. The identification results show that the product has reached the international advanced level.

The steel-plastic composite spiral wound pipe is based on the plastic sheet structure strip. The upper part is provided with a T-shaped cap and a special shape steel strip is used to enhance the loop stiffness, strength and toughness of the pipe, and enhance the flexibility of the ring and the pulling of the seam. The degree of stretching improves the connection stability, and has the advantages of light weight, strong impact resistance, not easy to break, small water flow resistance, and good adaptability to uneven settlement of the foundation. The steel-plastic composite spiral wound pipe project has been included in the 100 key high-tech industrial projects in Liaoning Province in 2007. The product has applied for 3 national patents.
