Yuchai Lin Tiejian won the "labor model" of the national machinery industry

Lin Tiejian is currently the Chief Engineer, Ph.D., and Senior Engineer of Commercial Engine Combustion Development for Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Lin Tiejian was engaged in postdoctoral research in the State Key Laboratory of Internal Combustion Engines of Tianjin University. In December 2005, Lin Tiejian went to Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Technical Center to engage in engine combustion development. In the past two years, he has devoted himself to the development of the combustion system of the engine and has made numerous achievements. He has made outstanding contributions to the research and development of Yuchai products and comprehensively improved the ability of independent innovation. He was awarded the 2007 “Model Worker” and Yuchai’s “Top Ten Outstanding” by Yuchai Company. "Young people" and other honorary titles.

In the 4F and 6J two common rail country combustion development work, Lin Tiejian is responsible for tracking the combustion system match and shape of the two series models. With his solid theoretical knowledge of internal combustion engine combustion, it has been difficult for all members of the project team. Efforts, the 4F and 6J models used only a month to initially establish the fuel system parameters and meet the country's 3 emission standards.

In 2007, Yuchai’s commodity development projects, especially those of commercial vehicles, had a large number, tight schedules and heavy tasks. In order to ensure the smooth development of the project, Lin Tiejian, who is the leader of the performance team, carefully developed the combustion system development plan for each commercial vehicle model, and communicated and coordinated closely with the CAE and the design department, arranging the simulation, trial production, and overall planning of the technical program. The test development process ensures the smooth shaping of all the combustion systems responsible for the model. After hard work and continuous accumulation and summarization of experience, Lin Tiejian finally found a set of test methods and working ideas for combustion development of Yuchai products, and he has been promoted and applied in the development of new products.

Especially in the B prototype development stage of 6J3, it is urgent to confirm the engine performance sensitivity to various parameters and related component tolerances. Numerous verifications of parameters mean that a lot of time-consuming and laborious experiments are needed. This is unacceptable to the cost and progress of the tests, and a slight oversight will prevail. In order to solve this problem, Lin Tiejian boldly introduced a new test method and applied it to the sensitivity tests of the 4F and 6J models. The results show that this method not only greatly shortens the test time, improves the test efficiency, but also can accurately confirm the influence of the parameters such as the combustion chamber, cylinder pad thickness, eddy current ratio, injector height and other parameters on the performance of the engine. The formulation of related parts and components and the consistent production control of components provide a strong guarantee.

In response to the national "energy-saving emission reduction" call, Lin Tiejian concentrated on the development of ultra-low emissions of environmentally friendly diesel engines, as the person in charge of combustion system development, participated in the development of the first domestic YC6L series of diesel engines that passed the national 4 emission certification. The YC6L4 diesel engine is the first of its kind in domestic medium-sized diesel engines to use SCR exhaust after-treatment technology. It was the only domestic engine to mass-produce Beijing buses in 2007. At present, nearly 2,000 Taiwan 4 engines are operating in Beijing buses. In the research and development of the first YC6L-50 diesel engine with the emission standard of Euro 5 in China, Lin Tiejian was the chief person responsible for the development of the combustion and emission system.

Lin Tiejian emphasized the sharing of knowledge and experience in the process of product R&D, and actively raised the level of R&D team's technology development. He often introduces colleagues and discusses some cutting-edge technologies. Under his leadership, many of Yuchai's young technical R&D personnel have rapidly developed into the technical backbone of Yuchai's many project developments, and have the capability of independent calibration of the country 3, and have successfully completed the combustion development of many countries. .
