Tower triple light hydrocarbon recovery unit achieves economical
The Tahe No. 2 Production Plant, with a daily processing capacity of 500,000 cubic meters, has successfully collected and transported light hydrocarbon recovery equipment from the No. 3 Joint Station of the Second Battalion. Since its successful start-up on November 1st, it has operated safely, steadily, efficiently, and with low energy consumption, continuing until December 14th. Over this period, the plant produced a total of 681.04 tons of high-value liquefied gas, 381.40 tons of light hydrocarbons, 594.64 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, and 307.9 tons of additional light hydrocarbons.
The Light Hydrocarbon Recovery Unit at No. 3 United Station is a key ground engineering project for the Northwest Oilfield Company in 2008. It features a modern integrated system that includes feed gas pressurization, natural gas desulfurization, light hydrocarbon recovery, and sulfur recovery. The facility uses advanced technologies such as the MDEA+ self-circulation LO-CAT process and the expander + auxiliary cold source + low-temperature absorption process. Additional equipment includes condensate storage and loading systems, a heat medium system, and a torch and venting system. Notably, the air defense torch stands at an impressive height of 90 meters, making it the tallest torch in the Xinjiang oil and gas fields.
Construction of the facility began on March 14 this year and was completed in 220 days. It was officially handed over on October 15 and started operations on November 1. On November 6, it produced qualified dry gas, and by November 14, it had generated its first batch of high-value liquefied gas and stable light hydrocarbons. Once fully operational, the plant not only produces high-value liquefied gas and stabilized light hydrocarbons but also generates over 240,000 cubic meters of dry gas daily for use in the downstream plate dry gas power station. This significantly enhances the natural gas processing capacity and resource utilization, playing a crucial role in achieving the "three towers" development strategy: "expanding beyond the Tahe River, exploring under the river, and improving recovery to build a new Tahe River."
Additionally, the facility has greatly improved the processing capacity of high Hâ‚‚S natural gas from the 8-zone and 10-zone production units. It has reduced environmental pollution caused by flare emissions and lowered sulfur dioxide emissions, ensuring compliance with national environmental standards. The clean and environmentally friendly operations at the Tahe No. 2 Production Plant are of significant importance to sustainable development in the region.
