Tower triple light hydrocarbon recovery unit achieves economical

The Tahe No. 2 Production Plant, with a daily processing capacity of 500,000 cubic meters, has successfully started operations on November 1st and has been running smoothly, efficiently, and with low energy consumption until December 14th. This facility is responsible for collecting and transporting light hydrocarbon recovery equipment from the No. 3 Joint Station of the Second Battalion. Over the past month, it has produced a total of 681.04 tons of high-value liquefied gas, 381.40 tons of light hydrocarbons, 594.64 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, and 307.9 tons of additional light hydrocarbons. The Light Hydrocarbon Recovery Unit at No. 3 United Station was a key ground engineering project for the Northwest Oilfield Company in 2008. It features an advanced system integrating feed gas pressurization, natural gas desulfurization, light hydrocarbon recovery, and sulfur recovery. The technology used includes the MDEA+ self-circulation LO-CAT process and the expander + auxiliary cold source + low-temperature absorption process, which are among the most advanced in China. The unit also includes essential auxiliary systems such as condensate storage, heat medium systems, and a high-level air defense torch that reaches 90 meters in height—setting a new benchmark for torch height in Xinjiang’s oil and gas fields. Construction of the facility began on March 14 this year and took 220 days to complete. It was officially handed over on October 15 and came into full operation on November 1. On November 6, it produced its first batch of qualified dry gas, and by November 14, it had begun producing high-value liquefied gas and stable light hydrocarbons. Once fully operational, the plant not only produces valuable liquefied gas and stabilized light hydrocarbons but also generates over 240,000 cubic meters of dry gas per day for the downstream plate dry gas power station. This significantly enhances the overall natural gas processing capacity and resource utilization, playing a crucial role in achieving the "three towers" development strategy: "expanding beyond the Tahe River, exploring under the river, and improving recovery to build a stronger Tahe River." In addition, the plant greatly enhances the processing capacity of high H₂S natural gas from the 8-zone and 10-zone production units. It effectively reduces environmental pollution caused by flaring, lowers sulfur dioxide emissions, and ensures compliance with national environmental standards. The clean and eco-friendly operations at the Tahe No. 2 Production Plant mark a significant step forward in sustainable development and environmental protection.
