The team of Tang Yongbing, a researcher at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made breakthroughs in research on low-cost, high-efficiency energy storage batteries. Tang Yongbing and his team members, together with Xue Feng and Zhang Fan, constructed a new carbon-coated porous aluminum composite anode material through a simple and controllable method. Tests prove that this new porous aluminum foil/carbon composite anode can significantly improve the overall performance of aluminum-graphite dual-ion batteries, especially the cycle stability has been greatly improved.
The cycle performance test found that the battery retention rate was as high as ~90% after the charge and discharge cycle of the battery at a high rate of 2c (charge/discharge time of about 30 minutes), which is much higher than the current national standard (gb/t18287-2013).
