From Chi-Town Fire Photos:
Last Wednesday afternoon, we followed a column of smoke and arrived at a newly constructed 3-story home located at 910 N. Wood, extending to 912 N. Wood. The house was still under construction when the fire broke out, and it appeared to be in the process of receiving spray foam insulation. Upon arrival, Engine 30 immediately began using a deck gun on the front of the house, while Engine 14 positioned itself in the alley and used a deck gun on the rear. A total of six hand lines were deployed along with the two deck guns, showcasing a coordinated and rapid response.
The fire had spread significantly, with heavy flames consuming the attic space of an adjacent property to the north. The Chicago Fire Department (CFD) responded swiftly and efficiently, bringing the situation under control in a timely manner. Their professionalism and quick action prevented further damage and ensured the safety of the surrounding area.
