From Chi-Town Fire Photos:
On Wednesday afternoon, we followed a column of smoke and arrived at a newly constructed 3-story house located at 910 N. Wood, extending to 912 N. Wood. The home was still under construction when the fire broke out, and it appeared to be in the process of receiving spray foam insulation. Upon arrival, Engine 30 quickly positioned itself at the front of the structure and began using a deck gun to attack the fire. Meanwhile, Engine 14 maneuvered down the alley and used its deck gun on the rear side of the building.
A total of six hand lines were deployed along with the two deck guns, showing a coordinated effort by the responding crews. The fire had spread significantly, particularly in the attic space of an adjacent exposure house to the north. Despite the intensity, the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) responded swiftly and managed to bring the situation under control in a timely manner.
