When operating the CS series high-speed carbon-sulfur analyzer , note the following points:

1. In the carbon-sulfur analyzer, high-purity oxygen is used to help the electric arc furnace, and oxygen must be used in accordance with the safety regulations for the use of oxygen.

2. After connecting the power cord, you must use a test pencil to check whether the yoke and the shell are energized. If the yoke is charged, the phases of the power supply and the neutral wire should be exchanged and then tested with a test pencil; if the shell has a slight electrical charge , should be connected to the ground. It must be ensured that the electric arc furnace can only be operated after the electric arc furnace manifold and the housing are not energized.

3. When the carbon-sulfur analyzer is operated by the electric arc furnace, the temperature of the furnace body, the crucible, and the syllabic seat is high. Do not touch them with your hands to avoid burns. At the instant of pressing the arc ignition button, the combustion system must not be touched.

4. When the furnace is used, adjust the gap between the end of the electrode rod and the sample in the crucible (4-8mm) according to the current meter on the panel. If you press the “Arc Start” button, the ammeter reads very little or no reading. This indicates that the pole is too large for the sample gap. At this time, the electrode should be pulled down slightly. It was found that the reading of the ammeter was too large or exceeded the limit range, and there was no vibration sound, indicating that the pole-to-sample gap was zero (ie, the pole and the specimen had been short-circuited). The pole should be adjusted upwards.

5, the furnace in normal use, the need for arc, as long as the "arc start" button momentary press, you can let go, you can ignite the sample at high speed. If you press several times and you cannot ignite, check the gap between the poles and the specimen. Do not press the “Arc Start” button for a long time to avoid burning out circuit components.

6. When operating the furnace, the gas system must be operated with "pre-oxygen and post-gas control" processes. Adjust the oxygen pressure to 0.04mpa to adjust the flow rate of the flowmeter to 100 liters/hour. The oxygen supply system is connected to the oxygen inlet valve of the furnace by an oxygen cylinder via an oxygen pressure reducing valve or a low-pressure oxygen gas and connected to a low-pressure gas storage tank (without water pressure). Remember to use oxygen supply methods that do not comply with this rule.

7. When the test is unstable, use the connector differential pressure method to check the air leakage. If you find that there is air leakage in the airway, you can turn on the “Oxygen” switch to oxygenate the gas and combustion parts. Then use soapy water to coat the seal joints and rubber hose connections, check for leaks and correct them.

8, the furnace is equipped with preheating device, controlled by the preheating button switch. The switch is on and the preheat indicator is on, indicating that the preheating device is on. During normal continuous operation, 2-3 samples shall be burned to increase the temperature of the crucible to 60-100°C. Turn off the preheating switch to test (do not unplug the preheater); for continuous operation, such as helium temperature When it is too high, the scorpion seat can be cooled with a wet towel; when it is used intermittently (in front of the oven), the pre-heating device is turned on, and the pre-heating effect (60-100° C.) can be obtained.

9, in the furnace body filter copper mesh, dust collector and other dust everywhere will interfere with the test stability, use a small brush to clear. You can also use the skin tiger to blow off the dust, generally do 30-40 samples, should be cleaned once, when the dust collector removes dust, should pay attention to whether the dust paper is intact, if damaged, please replace it in time, otherwise the dust will go through a single tube (secondary dust removal device), the flow meter, and the rear control valve enter the sulfur absorption cup so that the sulfur cannot be measured, and the flow meter and the rear control valve may malfunction.

10. Carbon-sulfur analyzer When an electric arc furnace is used for burning samples to measure carbon and sulfur, tin particles and silicon molybdenum powder are recommended as additives. For every 1 g of sample burned, add about 0.3 g of each additive. The slag should be dark gray. If it is bright, it means that there are more tin particles and the measurement result of sulfur may be lower.
