According to reports, Auman GTL energy-saving heavy-duty trucks are Foton Motor's global models built to export to European and American markets. It has four categories of six core environmental technologies, including automotive exhaust gas reutilization, hybrid power, and synthetic natural gas, reaching the European advanced level. . It uses a new heavy-duty engine based on Cummins technology, which meets Euro 4 and Euro 5 emission requirements and has the potential to be upgraded to Euro 6, with a material recycling efficiency of 85%.
It is understood that in the field of commercial vehicles, domestic independent brands account for more than 90% of the market share, and the most likely to be the first to go abroad is the commercial vehicle company. Foton Motor continues to advance its globalization strategy through the five major projects including Auman GTL Energy-saving Heavy-Duty Production Base, Multi-Function Vehicle Factory and Global Business Headquarters.
Fu Jing Automobile News spokesman Zhao Jingguang introduced that the positioning of these five major projects has reached the world level and is expected to be completed in 2012. At the same time, Foton Motor also plans to build five overseas factories with production capacity of 100,000 units in five countries such as South Asia, breaking through three global high-end car markets in Japan, Western Europe and North America.
According to reports, in 2009 Foton Motor's annual sales reached 600,000 vehicles. It is expected that after the completion of the five key projects by 2012, Foton Motor will have a production capacity of 1 million units and 1 million engines. By 2020, the company plans to have annual sales of 4 million vehicles and an operating income of more than 300 billion yuan.
