The high temperature and high pressure treatment of tea pods will adversely affect the quality (color and purity) of the tea saponin product. At present, China's tea saponin production technology is still relatively backward, it is difficult to obtain high-quality tea saponin, which limits the comprehensive development and utilization of tea resources in China, a serious waste of resources. For this reason, we have proposed a new research and development idea for extracting high-quality tea saponin directly from Camellia oleifera and then extracting tea oil. This experiment will use large safflower oil tea seeds as raw materials, determine its water content and crude fat, and then use ethanol solution as extractant to further study the extraction method of tea saponin from tea seeds and explore a production process. Low cost, high efficiency and high purity of tea saponin extraction process. The crude fat analyzer is an important instrument for determining the fat content in camellia cakes.

The measurement method using the crude fat analyzer is as follows: take a certain amount of large safflower oil tea in a mortar and pestle until the particles are fine and uniform, then accurately weigh 2g~5g, and wrap it on a clean filter paper, Soxhlet extraction, Repeat 3 samples. Take 25 μL of the extract in a clean test tube and add 0.475 mL of distilled water. Accurately add 0.5 mL of 8% vanillin solution. Cool in ice water and add 4.0 mL of sulfuric acid (4.0 mL). Shake the mixture and heat the mixture at 60°C for 15 min. Cool in water for 10 min, remove at room temperature, and measure absorbance.

The direct drying method was used to measure the moisture content of the large safflower oil camellia seeds by 40%. The content of crude fat in the big safflower oil camellia seeds was measured by Soxhlet extraction method was about 58%, indicating that the big fruit safflower camellia seeds The oil content is relatively high, which provides a theoretical basis for the future extraction of fat from safflower seed oil. Experiments have tried to extract tea saponin from Camellia oleifera seeds and then extract tea oil. The results show that this method is feasible. The result of the study is almost the same as that measured by the crude fat analyzer. It is highly recommended.
