China FAW Heavy Trucks Enters Shell Global Shipping Purchase System

Affected by the financial crisis, compared with the "blowout" situation in the domestic auto market, the international auto market has been sluggish, and the domestic auto export business has been seriously contracted. Recently, however, the author was informed by China FAW Import and Export Corporation that once long-term persistent contact and preparation for better bids, FAW truck products once again faced the wind and represented China's commercial vehicles to go abroad. The heavy truck products formally entered Shell's global transportation procurement system and will first export vehicles in 10 Asian countries.

This not only signals the recognition of FAW Group vehicles in the international market, but also boosts morale for the continued export of domestic commercial vehicle products.

The FAW Liberation Heavy Trucks can enter Shell's global transportation procurement system. The first is the high-end quality advantage of FAW Heavy Trucks. For many years, FAW has been adhering to independent roads, aiming at European advanced technology standards, integrating global advanced technology, integrating domestic and foreign advanced assembly and component resources, and independently developing key assemblies such as cabs, engines, and axles, and successfully built The international level of high-end heavy trucks; China FAW's brand advantage is also a subsidiary of international companies willing to accept FAW products. FAW Group, which has become the world's top 500 for many years, has now become one of the world's major auto manufacturers, and has a stable The customers and good reputation; FAW Group continued to deepen overseas marketing strategy, but also for the FAW products, including heavy trucks continue to build a bridge.

In order to be able to cooperate with Shell, FAW Import and Export Corporation started the project and prepared it as early as a year ago. After arduous work, FAW passed the qualification review and technical review, eliminating the legal constraints of overseas business and other constraints. In the fierce competition with two European high-end brands and one Japanese light-card brand, FAW Liberation Heavy Trucks relied on a sound and cost-effective final bid.

Being able to cooperate with Shell and enter into its global transportation procurement system will be beneficial to the global expansion of FAW Group in the future, and it will be an opportunity to participate in the export bidding of other countries and regions; the export volume of the whole vehicle will be not small In the aspect of quality management and technology, it will also greatly enhance the overseas management experience of FAW Group; this time winning bid will also greatly help the FAW brand's dissemination.
After signing an agreement with Shell in early September, China FAW will have the qualifications for exporting heavy trucks to 10 countries including Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Indonesia. Among them, the identified businesses are: 200 vehicles will be exported to Pakistan, 20 of them will be exported in the first batch and 200 will be exported to Malaysia.
