The Shanghai Maritime Technology Exchange Conference and Exhibition (Marintec 2007), sponsored by the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, recently opened in Shanghai New International Exhibition Center. The 430kw marine generating set equipped with a CW6200 diesel engine capable of burning 3,500 seconds of heavy oil on display at Weichai has brightened the eyes of the people. This is the only prototype engine exhibited by domestic independent brands. CW200 relied on the advantages of independent innovation technology, reliability, and military background to attract the attention of many domestic and foreign ship owners and design institutes.
Affected by the international shipbuilding market boom and the rapid growth of China's international shipbuilding market, it has come from China, Germany, France, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, the United Kingdom, and other 17 national pavilions as well as Canada, Italy, Vietnam and more than 30 countries. Exhibitors from countries and regions participated in this maritime event, with more than 1,100 exhibitors. Well-known international classification societies GL, BV, ABS, internationally renowned power brands Mann, Wartsila, Caterpillar, MTU, Yanmar also participated in this exhibition.
