The second-phase 200 tons/year avermectin project of Inner Mongolia Xinweiyuan Biological Chemical Co., Ltd. has already completed part of the engineering design and is expected to be put into production in August 2008.
The new Weiyuan Bio-Chemical Company 600 tons/year abamectin project was started in 2004 and is divided into three phases with a total investment of 400 million yuan. It is currently the largest abamectin project in the world. In the first phase of the project, a batch production of 100 tons of avermectin raw materials was achieved in 2006. The second phase of the project started construction in May 2007. The construction scale of the third phase of the project is 300 tons/year.
