Lexus will push new entry SUV models

Recently, overseas media reported that Lexus will launch a SUV model lower than the RX level. The SUV is named CX and will be built on the same platform as the Toyota RAV4. Competitors point to luxury SUVs such as the BMW X1 and Audi Q3.

It is reported that this CX model is expected to be launched in 2012 and officially started sales in 2013. Powered by this model or will only use a hybrid system, using a combination of four-cylinder engine and motor power. The maximum power output is about 200 horsepower, and the official 100 km fuel consumption is about 5L.

Lexus' new compact SUV will be smaller than the RX270.
