Statistics from Vietnam Customs show that in June Vietnam’s machinery and equipment imports reached US$1.19 billion, an increase of 12.7% from the previous quarter; in the first half of the year, it imported US$6.2 billion, up 15% year-on-year. Among them, imports from China reached US$2.1 billion, up 16.5% year-on-year; imports from Japan were US$1.18 billion, up 13%; imports from South Korea were US$418 million, up 8.4%; imports from Germany were US$381 million, up 33.2%.
