Domestic LNG cryogenic ball valve prototype passed inspection

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] A few days ago, the 2"-1500lb cryogenic ball valve prototype jointly developed by China Nuclear Sohu Technology Industrial Co., Ltd., Sinopec Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd., and Sinopec Natural Gas Company successfully passed the acceptance.

On April 21, the China Petrochemical Materials Assembly Department held a localization conference for LNG cryogenic valves in Suzhou to discuss and research the development of LNG cryogenic valves and implement industrial applications. Yu Liangyi and Tao Jing were present at the meeting.

Experts from Sinopec Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd., Sinopec Natural Gas Company, and Sinopec Tianjin LNG Project Department attended the meeting. The General Secretary of China Valve Association Song Yinli, Director of the Valve Research Institute of Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Huang Mingya and others were also invited to attend the meeting.

Experts at the meeting targeted LNG device ultra-low temperature valve technical requirements and valve prototype development test program for LNG cryogenic jointly developed by China Nuclear Sohu Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. and three units (Sinopec Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd., and Sinopec Natural Gas Company). Ball valve prototypes were reviewed and accepted by experts.

The acceptance team experts listened to the prototype development report made by China Nuclear Suval Technology Industrial Co., Ltd., and reviewed the prototype and test equipment on site, and reviewed the relevant drawings, test reports, technical data, and warranty documents of the prototype. And on-site answer questions and form acceptance opinions. The acceptance group unanimously agreed that the 2"-1500lb cryogenic ball valve prototype passed the acceptance.

We cooperate with Shanghai Jiao Tong University to research, develop and manufacture biomass boilers that use wood chips, straws, palm shells, mesocarp fiber, empty fruit bunch (EFB) fiber, rice husk and other wastes as fuels in order to achieve zero carbon dioxide emissions. After numerous tests and simulations, we have developed a reasonable structure of furnace arch, furnace wall and furnace heating surface that guarantees combustion efficiency and evaporation rate. NOx emissions of our biomass boilers can be as low as 100 mg/Nm3 with thermal efficiencies up to 90%.
